Cinematic Wedding Films at Askham Hall
Set on the edge of the Lake District, Askham Hall is a beautifully restored Grade I listed country house combing historic character with modern elegance, offering a stunning setting for your wedding day.
From saying "I do" in the atmospheric medieval barn to celebrating in the stylish Bank Barn, every part of Askham Hall has been thoughtfully designed. The award-winning food, beautiful gardens and picturesque grounds provide the perfect backdrop for unforgettable Askham Hall wedding films.
As well as filming weddings at Askham Hall, I also had the honour of being best man at my friend Ed's wedding here. Experiencing the venue as both a guest and a wedding videographer has given me a unique perspective on what makes Askham Hall so special. From the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings to the fantastic team who go above and beyond to make sure every guest is looked after, it's easy to see why so many couples choose to celebrate here. Everything flows effortlessly throughout the day, creating the perfect setting for authentic, story-led wedding films.

Jessica & Owen - 24th May 2025
Jessica and Owen's wedding was full of heartfelt moments and plenty of laughter. During the ceremony, Owen's brother gave a reading in Welsh as a tribute to his family roots, while Jessica's aunt shared a beautiful poem she'd written especially for the couple. One of the standout moments came during the drinks reception, when Jessica's grandad playfully stepped in front of the string quartet and pretended to conduct them, much to the delight of everyone watching. Between the wedding breakfast and the evening celebrations, guests took to the microphone for a lively karaoke session before Owen rounded off the night by performing on the trumpet after the first dance.
Rebecca & Luke - 18th & 19th April 2025
Rebecca and Luke created a wedding weekend that was completely their own. The day began with a beautiful first look before the ceremony, followed by heartfelt personal vows and an incredible entrance into the wedding breakfast to Donna Summer's “Hot Stuff.”
Guests signed a gold record vinyl instead of a traditional guest book, before enjoying an amazing choreographed first dance. With everyone staying overnight, the celebrations continued the following day with another fantastic meal by the wonderful chefs, archery and axe throwing, an epic finale to a brilliant weekend.
