Wedding Videography FAQs
Questions I Get Asked as a Lake District Wedding Videographer
-
I always recommend booking as soon as you've secured your venue and date. The earlier you enquire, the better your chances of securing your wedding date, especially during the busy wedding season.
That said, it's always worth asking, even if your wedding is just around the corner. I've had couples get in touch only two weeks before their wedding, and fortunately I was available to film their day. So whether you're planning well in advance or looking for a last-minute wedding videographer, don't hesitate to get in touch.

My full-day wedding videography package, which is my most popular option, starts from £1,475. You can find full details of what's included on my Packages page.
I offer a range of options to suit different weddings and budgets, including bespoke packages and elopement films. If you have something specific in mind, I'd be happy to create a package tailored around your day.
-
The first step is simply to get in touch! You can contact me through my website enquiry form or send me a message on Instagram with your wedding date, and I'll check my availability for you.
If you'd like to chat things through before making a decision, I'm always happy to arrange a video call so we can discuss your plans and how I can help.
Once you've decided you'd like me to film your wedding, I'll send over the contract for you to review and sign. Your wedding date is officially secured once the signed contract has been returned and your deposit has been received.

My style is a blend of documentary and cinematic wedding filmmaking, focusing on capturing the genuine, joyful, and emotional moments that naturally unfold throughout your wedding day while adding a creative spark to bring your story to life.
Visually, I love creating films that feel bright, vibrant, and full of life, showcasing the beauty of your venue, surroundings, and the atmosphere of your day rather than a darker, moodier style.
My approach isn't rigid, every couple is different, and I adapt my style to reflect who you are. Some couples prefer a relaxed, documentary approach with minimal posing, while others send me Instagram reels, trends, or creative ideas they'd love to include in their wedding film. I'm always happy to incorporate these while keeping the film authentic to you.
Ultimately, my goal is to create a wedding film that feels personal and genuine that you'll want to relive for years to come.
-
My full-day package typically covers from around three hours before your ceremony until one hour after your first dance. This allows me to capture the anticipation of getting ready and all the celebrations throughout your day.
Every wedding is different, so if you'd like me to arrive earlier or stay later, I'm always happy to tailor the coverage to suit your plans.
-
Yes! I use multiple cameras throughout the day to capture your wedding from different angles. During your ceremony and speeches, I can use up to three cameras to capture not only the key moments but also your guests' reactions.
That said, I always adapt my setup to suit the venue. In smaller or more intimate spaces, I may use fewer cameras to keep everything as discreet as possible, allowing you to stay fully present without feeling like you're being filmed.
-
Yes! Every couple receives a sneak peek within 72 hours of their wedding day.
This is a short highlight film of around one minute, giving you an exciting first look at your wedding while you wait for your full film. It's perfect for sharing with family and friends or simply keeping between the two of you.
-
Music is one of the most important parts of your wedding film, as the right song can completely change the experience of watching it back. I use a variety of licensed music libraries to carefully select tracks that complement your day and reflect the feeling of your wedding.
Some couples prefer to leave the music choice entirely in my hands, while others like to be more involved. Both approaches are great, and I'm always happy to work with you to find the perfect fit.
-
Yes! Drone footage is a fantastic way to showcase your venue and the surrounding landscape, helping to establish the setting and add another cinematic layer to your wedding film.
I have full drone insurance, and every flight is carried out safely and responsibly. The only times drone footage may not be possible are due to poor weather conditions (such as high winds) or local flight restrictions, including venues near airports or within no-fly zones.

I love collaborating with photographers, and many I've worked alongside over the years have become great friends. Working together allows us to bounce ideas off one another while creating the best possible experience for you as a couple.
We're both there to tell the story of your day, and by working as a team, we can create beautiful, lasting memories without getting in each other's way.
-
Absolutely! I love filming weddings in different venues and locations, whether that's in the Lake District, elsewhere in the UK, or on the other side of the world.
Whether you're planning a countryside wedding close to home or a destination wedding abroad, I'd love to be part of it.
-
Of course! I have a package specifically designed for elopements, but I can also create a bespoke package tailored around your plans.
Whether you're having an intimate celebration or only want certain parts of your wedding filmed, I'm always happy to create something that suits you.
-
You can expect to receive your completed wedding films approximately two months after your wedding day. During quieter periods, this turnaround can often be much quicker.
The editing process takes time, care, and attention to detail. Alongside selecting the most meaningful moments, I carefully colour grade every shot and professionally mix the audio to create a film that beautifully tells the story of your day.
During the busiest months, filming multiple weddings each week can naturally extend the editing process slightly. However, I always prioritise quality over speed, ensuring you receive a wedding film you'll treasure for years to come.
